First Day of classes

Monday June 30th, 2008

Today was my first day of classes... I am still feeling quite tired or jet lagged as they call it. So one thing I definatel noticed about being here is that the food is WAY different... and picky me sometimes has a hard time finding stuff to eat.... but im making do.

Today in class we talked a lot about culture and its significance... we had a great discussion.... there are sooo many new things that I have been learning about the culture here it is amazing... like a bathroom is a toilet... chips are french fries.... a lift is an elevator... and the list goes on

We got to take a walking trip around Plymouth today to check out the city... WOW is it neat. The bay harbor area is about a fifteen minute walk from our dorm. The port is the same one that the Mayflower left from. The view was gorgeous. We also checked out a few stores and I bought my first item- a pair of sandals :) who would of thought that I have only been here 2 days and I have already been shopping.. hahaha

Hope all is well at home.
